I would like more people to know about Demi-pair!! coz it’s such a great program:) I’ve done Demi-pair for 3 and half months last year. It’s an unforgettable experience for me. As I got to know Demi-pair, I was in Melbourne and looking for a share room to move in. I found some home staying or share rooms were available but these were a bit expensive. I think it was $180-200 p/w and not included meals.

Demi-pair is a kind of home staying. It costs $900 for 3 months including meals, Wi-fi, own room and lovely host family:) How could you get your own room and free meals everyday for only $75 per week?? Instead, you need to do housework 20hr p/w but it’s not difficult! It depends on your host family what you need to do, but in my case, I just need to look after my host kid:) Actually I really wanted to work as a nanny and was looking for some babysit jobs. So it was perfect for me! My host kid was 18 month-old boy. He is a happy and adorable boy:) I was really happy to stay with him:) Every weekend we went out for a walk! He loves birds so we always brought some bread to feed birds and went to the park! When my host parents were not at home, I made meals for him:) He loves omuraisu(Japanese food), miso soup with veges, risotto, dumplings, fried rice…etc… He ate very well. I was so glad when he wanted more:) Sometimes I took him a bath.

It was also my happy moment! He loves a bath time:) During I did Demi-pair, I could stay with my lovely family and could have time to go to school. Fortunately, my host parents allowed me to go to work, so I could make money and save it for next plan:) I could be with my sweet little boy everyday and learned how to do child care. I had such a wonderful time in GC and awesome experience through this Demi-pair program. It’s a highly recommended!!!!!!!You should try it!!!!!! I hope more people know Demi-pair and enjoy it:)
